I spied an Iraqi teenager doing some fancy finger pickin' on that guitar of his while driving around in sector so I made our patrol pull over so I could get my gee-tar fix for the year.
If you've never tried to rock out in full battle rattle on a third world instrument while squished into a plastic chair on a sidewalk after a six month hiatus from playing, well, you don't know what you're missing.
And don't even ask me where my weapon was during all this. I couldn't tell you.
I must admit I totally missed the Fugitive movie reference. But apparently it takes an Old Far like me to notice the DR. Strangelove reference: "HOW I LEARNED TO STOP SCURRYING AND LOVE THE CALM"
Buck Sargent is the alter ego of a three-tour Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. He now enjoys sleeping late, not shaving, and being on the same continent as his wife and kids.
Welcome home.
And that's some damn fine pickin'!
A nice shiny guitar, too. Are you a street musician there? You ain't exactly dressed for open mic night on the FOB.

Welcome Home!
I know you put a smile on a lot of faces then with that short fix, and still are today!
Thank you!

Welcome back! Great piece of double pickin boogie in full battle rattle for a guy who's a bit 'rusty' on his chops. Thanks for everything.
